How do I sign up for tuition?

Is tutoring worth the investment?
Absolutely. Tutoring can improve grades, boost confidence, and help students meet academic and career goals. It’s an investment in your child’s future.
What ages do you teach?
We provide tuition for all ages, including:
EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, Functional Skills and A Level.
Do you offer 11+/Common Entrance Exam preparation
Yes, we provide support for both the 11+ and Common Entrance exams for schools all over the UK.
How does online small group tutoring work? Is it effective?
Yes! Online sessions via Zoom use tools like screen sharing, whiteboards, and chat. It’s just as effective as in-person tutoring and adds flexibility. Students also have access to Google Classroom where they can find all the materials used in each session, complete extra work and interact with their tutor.
Do you also offer one-to-one tuition?
Yes. We offer focused 1:1 sessions, both face to face and online, depending on tutor availability.
Do you offer a free trial?
We offer a trial session with no commitment to continue. Trial price varies depending on the type of session booked.
Do I need to stay with my child during tutoring sessons?

In-person sessions: No but you are welcome to stay if you would like, please ensure prompt drop-off and pick-up.

Online sessions: No, but see below regarding camera use.
Does my child need their camera on during online sessions?

Group sessions: Camera must be on at the start for attendance, then can be turned off.

1:1 sessions: Yes, camera should remain on to support interactive learning, though they don’t need to be on-screen the entire time.
Can we split a session between Maths and English?
To ensure quality learning, we recommend alternating subjects weekly rather than splitting one session.

Who are the tutors?
Our tutors include qualified teachers and professionals from various fields. All are passionate, experienced, and skilled in supporting students. Learn more in the “Meet the Team” section.
Are tutors DBS checked?
Yes. All tutors are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding and child protection.
Are you flexible with days and times?
Yes. Tutors share availability in advance. We’ll work with your schedule to find the best fit.
How much are sessions?

Group session (evening): £12.50

Group session (home school/daytime): £12:50 (or 3 or more for £10 per session)

1:1 private tuition: £35/hr

A Level 1:1 tuition: £40/hr Sessions are 1 hour and paid in advance (by the Sunday before each week). Group sessions run term-time only. One to One sessions run all year with the exception of Christmas and Tutor holidays. Term time only sessions are also available.

How do I contact my tutor?
Tutors can be contacted through info@tillys-tutoring.com , 07486612878 or via the website. Tutor’s personal numbers are kept private unless they are happy to share directly with you. All messages are passed to tutors as soon as received.
What if I need to cancel a session?
Please give at least 48 hours notice for absences. For online group sessions, a recording may be available.
How often is tutoring needed?
It depends on the student’s age, subject, and goals. We’ll discuss this together to create the right plan.
How long will it take to see progress?
Early signs of improvement often include increased confidence and a more positive attitude—grades typically follow with consistent tutoring.
Will my child have the same tutor each time?
Yes. Once matched, your child will continue with the same tutor throughout their enrolment.
What if a tutoring options isn't listed on the site?

Do you provide an assessment?
Yes. The first session includes an initial assessment to identify gaps. Ongoing feedback is also provided.
What if I'm not happy with my tutor?
